Burland Coaches has added a new B11R Jonckheere JHV2 to its fleet, the first time it has taken a Volvo coach. The Nantwich-based company operates tours and excursions to destinations including Llandudno, Warwick, Scarborough and Chelsea Flower Show.
“We realised we needed something more reliable after we had three coaches break down,” says director Steve Kemp. “We’d never used Volvo before, but when I asked other people in the industry they all seemed to advise going with Volvo for the reliability and aftercare. I met with three major manufacturers before taking the final decision.
“We can’t afford to have coaches break down, so the ongoing maintenance support and three-year warranty were a big part of our decision. We need that security and peace-of-mind.”
The 53-seater brings Burland’s fleet size to 10 coaches. The company plans to grow this to 12 vehicles by the end of the year as part of its planned expansion.
